We will be running a number of careers advice sessions in the five main market towns of Breckland – Dereham, Watton, Attleborough, Thetford and Swaffham – throughout the summer holidays and October half term. The sessions are aimed at 11 – 19 year olds who would like to find out more about what they can do with their lives after school, and what steps they can take to make this happen.
Our qualified, experienced and approachable careers advisor Sue can offer advice for young people whatever their age and stage; from those who feel really confident about their aspirations to those who are currently weighing up their options.
Sessions will run in one-hour slots and will help young people identify their skills and interests and explore how they may be able to utilise these through potential career choices. All sessions have been arranged during convenient times and in easy-to-reach locations to benefit young attendees and their family members.
Dates so far are as follows:
- Thursday 9th August, 1.30 – 9pm at Iceni Youth, Swaffham Community Centre
- Thursday 23rd August, 1.30 – 9pm at Iceni Youth, Swaffham Community Centre
- Monday 13th August, 10am – 4pm at Meet Up, Redcastle Furze Estate
- Monday 20th August, 10am – 4pm, Wayland House
- Tuesday 21st August, 10am – 4pm, Wayland House
A further date for Thetford will be announced shortly, as well as details about sessions running in Attleborough and Dereham.
